Baby Boy

A family friend had their first baby the other day - so a baby boy card was required - I used Distress inks for a subtle blending of colour and then "removed " the ink from the stamped image - a bit like bleaching ! I used a fine brush and literally used water to remove the ink and then blotted with kitchen paper - I think it worked !
The die cut is Clearly besotted and the enamel dots were made with Nuvo Tonic ( very impressed )

well we have had no kitchen - and been like this for 2 weeks - after a brief 3 day activity we hit a problem - but all will start again tomorrow - I hope ! It is very odd not having a

kitchen - a perfect excuse for no housework and a very limited ability to cook !Thank goodness the weather has been not too bad (apart from the weird weather last Wednesday) thought you might like to see work in progress - or not as the case suits - lol xx

I made this card for a friend ( you know who you are -Jenny ! ) to say thank you for all her help and guidance  - I masked off the side and then used the Kay Carley Eclectica3 flower - believe it or not there was some Nuvo Drops (which Jenny got for me ) but i made them too small - but they gave a wee bit of sparkle  :0)
whats life with no sparkle

My kitchen is now removed from the house !!!! and sitting outside ...guess there is no changing my mind now ...............But will be so glad when its all over - been a stressful few days packing everything up - goodness knows when I will have a kitchen again !

Sympathy -Gina K

I had to make this card today - after learning a young man that my son went to school with - sadly passed away yesterday the day before his 23rd birthday - he was diagnosed with terminal cancer literally a few weeks ago - :(
How can life be so cruel - He was a really funny guy and very tall ! he was a joy to be around ,seriously I do not know anyone who would not say the same . Feeling very low and desperate for his family and his young wife who married him in the hospice less than 2 weeks ago . Please find a cure for this dreadful disease

I think I might enter this in the muse challenge - as Anita's card gave me the inspiring colours to make this sad card

Sympathy - IndigoBlu

Sadly I had to make a sympathy card but the lady who has passed was 101 ! Amazing life and changes she has seen - incredible - she lived at home ( with a lot of family support ) almost to the end . I used tim holtz watercolour paper and although I used the smooth side I wasnt 100% happy with the blending - hey ho

birthday - landrover obsessed Husband

I made the background using the same technique as the poppy card of my last post .then i stamped the "landy " but decided to leave it alone !!! then used a stampin up grunge (i think ) to add splash marks .
It is my husbands birthday today and he has been away - just flown home  with BA and no delays !) and walked into chaos - as I have finally given a date for the building work -ie How fast can you dismantle your kitchen and dining room we want to start asap !!! help ...... the house is now officially a disaster zone ..... I am an awful housewife and even I think this is beyond the pale .Whose silly idea was it to change the kitchen !
